About the finder of Garage Hybrid
At 26 years old, after graduating from the Industrial Worker High School specializing in Machineries, with an
experience as a car mechanics, Mikinori Kaneko started a motorcycle selling and repair business in 1987.
Established as a Motorcycle shop specializing in the dirt bike and making use of nature as its trademark,
the business grows prosperously. Combining his expertise in the off-road bike, and the advantage of being
a rally club member, Mr. Kaneko nurture his touring and bike riding hobby by organizing a motorbike rally.
The first motorbike rally, he organized, sponsored by a Customer Service Department and the local govern-
ment was a great success. Due to the success, this event has become the major activity for this company as
it helps to promote the company thus the business grows tremendously. As a result in 1996, Hybrid Planning
Office Ltd. was established in Japan. It deals with more than just sales, tuning and repairing. Mr. Kaneko was
35 years old by then.

Malaysia was chosen as the first overseas touring project in 1997 and HYBRID PLANNING OFFICE(M)
SDN.BHD was set up in Kuala Lumpur as its local liaison office. Mr. Kaneko hold 100% investment
(In recording, 49%) as overseas subsidiary, and it establishes it in 1999. The activity is continued as
"Name and brand" by " Garage HYBRID" though the management organization is H.P.O-Japan.
HPO-Malaysia have been connecting with Malaysia before ten years originated by that the motorbike shop “GARAGE HYBRID”of HPO’s body started to do business with the Malaysian enterprise “HUP CHOP AUTO PARTS”.
We have do it with Mr.Chow Main Loong who is the chief in Japan of the enterprise and known about Malaysia through him.
We have had the experience Malaysia and become to love it. It is the same feeling that we love our country Japan.
We hope that many Japanese know about Malaysia more and we want do something Thank for our Malaysian friends. We wish will be continued and developed by the Success of this HPO business.

Accomplishments

Priory, my company has a long join venture history with Malaysia’s companies in organizing many activities.
Amongst those is GO!GO! MALAYSIA which is our highest demanded bike tour and ranked amongst the best.
To date we have been doing it in Malaysia for a decade and is still on going. Though this event’s participants are mostly Japanese and others international riders, it is run successfully by Malaysians. Not only Malaysianstaffs run this event, we also manage to get full support from Pahang Tourism andKuantanMunicipal Office (MPK)
A few times this yearly event has received media coverage by Japan’s journalist and even some of the Japanese journalist participated. This event is even updated and submitted to Malaysia Tourism Officer in Tokyo (Ms.Kinika ISHIDA) or tourist perusal. For the record my company also involves in a small import export business related to motor bike’s parts and accessories to Malaysia.
